Sing for Me

Sing for Me is a mid-length hybrid documentary and cine-poem that traces a deeply personal journey through the anxieties of belonging and the unresolved state of in-betweenness. Through a layered narrative that intertwines archival materials, hand-processed 16mm recreations, and a haunting dialogue between a granddaughter and her late grandfather’s 1979 voice recordings, the film reflects on one of the Middle East’s oldest spiritual traditions as it slips into diaspora and silence amid the region’s sectarian fractures.
